About PPRD
Petroleum Products Regulatory Department (Burmese: ရေနံထွက်ပစ္စည်းကြီးကြပ်စစ်ဆေးရေးဦးစီးဌာန), also called PPRD, is a national level organization that oversee private petroleum distribution market in Myanmar. The PPRD is run by the local companies that dominate the market. In 2017, the PPRD criticize the government's decision to open the fuel market to foreign investors.
Petroleum Products Regulatory Department was founded in 2010. As of 2017, there are 400 members in PPRD.
